Unlike over-the-counter painkillers or other similar treatments that sufferers take during a migraine, therapeutic BOTOX® prevents the headache from starting. It eliminates the onset of migraines and (on average) can cut down the number of occurrences by eight or nine “headache days” in a month.

Therapeutic BOTOX® is a quick procedure that lasts approximately 15 minutes. Patients are given a total of 31 injections administered in seven areas of the head and neck. This is done with a small and very thin needle which will only cause mild discomfort. It is given regularly, at an interval of 12 weeks in between sessions.
